Editorial method

Start with the workload.

Our work connects a reader's task to the smallest reliable level of technology that serves it.

Topic selection

We select decisions where compatibility, maintenance, support, or confusing specifications can create avoidable cost. At launch, we explain categories rather than rank current products.

Evidence

Durable principles are separated from mutable technical facts. When a current fact materially affects the decision, we prefer official specifications, standards bodies, or first-party support documentation and identify the review date. We do not reuse automated or spun copy.

Commercial boundaries

Advertisers and affiliate programs do not approve editorial conclusions. Paid placement, if introduced, must be labeled. A commercial link can change without changing the underlying evaluation framework.

Corrections

Material errors should be corrected promptly and the reviewed date updated. The Contact page will publish a verified correction channel after delivery is tested.
